I got the hint today, in the mail.
The hint is the renewal notice for my RN license. (North Carolina staggers the renewal. You get to renew in your birth month).
What happens if you don't renew on time? It depends on a whole lot of factors, but if you don't renew -- even if you've done nothing else wrong -- you can get in a lot of trouble for "practicing nursing without a license" in the time between when your license expires, and you get around to renewing.
Don't let that happen to you. If you're one of those folks who puts off taking care of paperwork like that, this is one you should not put off. Take care of it. Fast.
If it's license renewal, renew it. If it's sending in CEU credits, send them in.
In other words, if the paperwork impinges on your nursing license, it is far too important to leave it sitting around, especially if leaving it sitting around means you might forget about it.
